My name is Skip Cherryholmes, and I’m the face behind Pertaining to Parenting! I am blessed to be a husband and the father to two beautiful children.
Though I was a professing Christian I spent a large part of my married life not being intentional about putting Christ first, resulting in a shaky foundation and poor leadership for my household. Changes need to be made, and through the grace of God and the patience of my wife I was given a chance to make them.
I saw what was possible when I centered my family around Christ, and I jumped in head first. He has blessed me immensely since then!
Through all of this I developed a pure passion for helping families build strong, Christ-centered homes. I believe that many families can be rebuilt, rejuvenated, and restored through His Grace when the parents put their focus on Him and allow Him to lead them. Through my content, I explore biblical principles for parenting and marriage, offering encouragement, wisdom, and practical guidance for those seeking to honor God in their family life.
